Priced as the affordable choice among pricier competition, the XUV700 is a mix of new age tech and Mahindra’s tough-guy image done right.
Let’s find out what this SUV has below in terms of what it offers and some areas it needs to improve on.
Bold Design and on Road Presence
There is no change in the head-turning and beefy design of the 2025 XUV700. The bold grille, LED headlamps with DRLs and chiselled bonnet lends it a muscular road presence.
The flush door handles are a nice premium touch and sharp lines on the sides accentuate its aggressive stance.
At the back, the sleek tail lights and the inset spoiler give it a contemporary appearance.
The design of the XUV700 is a fine mix of class and aggression which makes it very attractive to a family buyer and a young buyer who has a liking for an aggressive SUV.
Generously Sized and Tech-Rich Interior
And step in, and the XUV700’s interior feels upmarket. The dashboard is dominated by twin 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system and digital cluster, which gives a futuristic ambiance.
The touchscreen is compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and connected car.
The dashboard offers up soft-touch materials, and we like the upscale feel of the leatherette upholstery and panoramic sunroof.
The cabin is spacious, with plenty of head- and legroom in both rows, as well as an available third row to accommodate larger families.
The premium touches like a high-quality sound system, dual-zone climate control and ventilated seats (in high-end versions) bring even more comfort.
Strong Powertrains and a Smooth Ride
The Mahindra XUV700 comes with two impressive engine options — a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel motor.
Both the engines offer good performance, with the petrol generating about 200 PS and the diesel having a lot of torque for highway cruising and ‘off the road’ usage.
Buyers have the option of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic, and the diesel can be had with optional all-wheel drive.
The suspension of the XUV700 offers a fine blend between ride comfort and handling and rides well over bad roads, remaining steady at higher speeds.
Focus on Safety
One of the XUV700’s best attributes is its safety. The SUV has achieved 5-star rating at Global NCAP crash tests.
It gets a number of air bags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program and advanced driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency braking.
These are some of the reasons that make it among the safest SUVs in its price range.
Pros:
Aggressive styling and good street presence
Potent yet refined powertrain options
Opulent, roomy cabin. Features Pros- Lots of features and good standard ones tooaimassage.
5-star rated Global NCAP safety rating with ADAS

Mahindra XUV700: Conclusion
The 2025 Mahindra XUV700 is still the mid-size SUV to beat.
