Hyundai Creta Facelift – 2025 model launch with new luxury features

Hyundai Creta Facelift 2024: Loaded With Features But a New Identity Hyundai Creta Facelift 2024 has received substantial upgrades on one of India’s most popular mid-size SUV.

With a more aggressive design, extra features and a new turbo-petrol motor, the new Creta has been launched to serve both those who’ve owned the car in the past,

and new-age buyers who crave a modern, well-rounded SUV. But, of course, like every vehicle, it comes with compromises.

Design and Exterior Appeal

The Creta looks more SUV-like compared to its predecessor with the facelift courtesy the designers at Hyundai.

The new face consists of a massive parametric jewel pattern grille with dark chrome insert, bordered by the uniquely designed LED light bars that spans the width, linking the combination headlamps at the sides.

The bumper too is more aggressively styled with sportier cuts and a squarer profile, further enhancing the Creta’s road presence.

The rear too gets appendage design LED tail-lamps and a more chiselled looking bumper. The new look is complemented with diamond-cut alloys and refreshed colour options, including exclusive dual-tone combinations.

Some buyers like the grown-up and brawny appearance, claiming it makes the Creta appear more distinctive.

Others, however, think that the design is a busier, especially at the back, and it can be seen as cluttered compared to the clean design offered by competitors.

Interior and Features

The differences continue once you open the door and step into the cabin. A pair of 10.25-inch screens now lives on the dashboard: one for the digital instrument cluster and the other for infotainment.

The centre console is sleeker with touch controls for the climate system. Hyundai has also fitted dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charging and an eight-speaker Bose sound system to flagship versions.

Higher end materials like the soft-touch dashboard inserts and leatherette upholstery contribute to the upscale atmosphere.

Cabin space is still ample, seating is supportive, and head- and legroom are good for all passengers.

Hyundai has retained hard plastics in some of the lower realms of the interior, but they aren’t enough of an offense to take away from the overall plush feel.

One other letdown is that the larger touchscreen system — which includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto among its features — isn’t available for the higher trims.

Available Engines and Performance

The Creta Facelift is available with three powertrains: the reliable 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, the well-optimised 1.5-litre diesel and the newcomer to the range, the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol.

The 7-speed DCT gearbox finally results in the turbo-petrol engine churning out an enthusiastic 160 PS that promises to be a fun bet for enthusiasts in a hurry.

The naturally aspirated petrol here is harmonious and laid-back, a relaxed everyday-commute sort of unit.

The diesel, however, continues to be the choice for high mileage users because it comes with strong torque and a good fuel positions.

The Creta is one of those cars that is particularly good at ride comfort. The suspension is also setup really well for Indian conditions and absorbs potholes and undulations well.

On the highways, the Creta feels sure footed although the steering could have given better feedback at high speeds.

The light steering is a benefit in city traffic, but it could leave more enthusiastic drivers wanting a little closer connection to the road.

Safety and Technology

Safety has been upped by Hyundai on this update. There are six airbags plus ESC, hill-start assist and disc brakes all around now fitted across the range.

Top-spec models also offer Level 2 ADAS tech such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring and forward collision warning.

The systems as a whole do a decent job, though they can be a bit skittish in heavy traffic.

The Hyundai Creta Facelift 2024 manages to improve upon a loved SUV.

It has more tech, bolder styling and a wider array of powertrains, making it a solid option for families and urban dwellers.

There are still some ergonomic and feature niggles to resolve, but it’s very difficult to pick holes in the system as a whole.
